As a clinician, you will provide compassionate, family-centered behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families in community and office-based settings.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide behavioral health treatment and support to individuals and families in their homes and/or at agency offices.
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and document findings in accordance with Ohio Department of Mental Health (ODMH) standards and agency policies.
  • Develop and implement individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans utilizing evidence-based interventions.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy focused on improving emotional well-being, developing coping skills, and achieving treatment goals.
  • Utilize active listening, therapeutic communication, and solution-focused interventions to assist clients in identifying priorities and achieving positive outcomes.
  • Educate clients and families on mental health conditions, coping strategies, communication skills, and available community resources.
  • Advocate for clients by collaborating with schools, courts, healthcare providers, and community agencies.
  • Coordinate referrals and facilitate smooth transitions to ongoing treatment and supportive services when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation in accordance with agency, Medicaid, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate with insurance providers and funding agencies regarding treatment authorization and related documentation as needed.
  • Participate in weekly clinical supervision, case consultations, staff meetings, and required agency trainings.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow clinicians by providing consultation, support, and coverage when needed.
  • Carry an agency-issued or approved cell phone during working hours to maintain accessibility.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as assigned.
  • Maintain a flexible 40-hour work schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and community-based appointments.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to agency dress code standards.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Clinical Director.

Successful clinicians are skilled in clinical assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention, family engagement, collaboration with community partners, and maintaining high-quality clinical documentation while working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
  • Current Ohio license as one of the following:
    • LSW (Licensed Social Worker) or
    • LISW (Licensed Independent Social Worker), depending on position requirements.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to successfully complete criminal background and other required pre-employment screenings.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within the required timeframe).
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in community mental health, behavioral health, or integrated healthcare.
  • Experience providing individual, family, and group counseling.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and evidence-based practices.
  • Experience with case management, treatment planning, and care coordination.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid, managed care organizations, and community resources.
  • Experience serving children, adolescents, adults, or families in outpatient, school-based, or community settings.
