Position Summary
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, support, and continuous improvement of the organization's enterprise infrastructure. This role provides technical expertise across servers, virtualization, storage, identity management, and Microsoft cloud technologies while ensuring the stability, security, and performance of critical business systems.
The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of direct systems administration experience and demonstrates effective communication skills, a customer-service mindset, forward-thinking problem-solving abilities, and a passion for continuous improvement. This individual will serve as a technical leader within the IT Operations team, driving modernization initiatives and partnering across the business to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure technology solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructureAdministration
Administer and support Microsoft Windows Serverenvironments.
Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related domainservices.
Maintain enterprise virtualization platforms, including VMware vSphere and associatedtechnologies.
Monitor and optimize server performance, availability, and capacityplanning.
Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuitysolutions.
Perform system upgrades, patch management, and technology lifecyclemanagement.
Microsoft 365 G CloudAdministration
Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, andOneDrive.
Support Microsoft Entra ID administration, identity governance, conditional access, and authentication technologies.
Participate in cloud adoption and modernizationinitiatives.
Manage user provisioning, licensing, security policies, and role-based accesscontrols.
StorageAdministration
Administer and support enterprise storage environments including Pure Storageplatforms.
Monitor storage health, performance, replication, and capacityutilization.
Develop and execute storage improvement and optimizationstrategies.
Security GCompliance
Maintain system security configurations and assist with cybersecurity initiatives.
Support vulnerability remediation efforts and security hardeningactivities.
Participateinsecurityaudits,complianceassessments,andincidentresponseefforts.
Ensure adherence to established IT governance, policies, andstandards.
Project Delivery G ContinuousImprovement
Lead or participate in infrastructure projects such as migrations, upgrades, consolidations, and system deployments.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that increase reliability, security, efficiency, and business value.
Identify opportunities for automation and processoptimization.
Document technical procedures, architecture, standards, and supportknowledge.
OperationalSupport
Serve as a Tier III escalation point for complex infrastructureissues.
Collaborate with help desk, network, security, and application teams to resolve incidents and prevent recurring issues.
Participate in on-call support and after-hours maintenance activities asrequired.
Maintain a strong customer-service orientation while supporting end users and businessstakeholders.
Required ǪualificationsEducation
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldpreferred.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will beconsidered.
Experience
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Systems Administration or InfrastructureEngineering.
Experience supporting enterprise environments with multiple locations and diverse business operations.
