About The Role
The Workplace & Culture Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our office portfolio and championing an exceptional employee experience across multiple locations. The rolecollaborates closely with the People Team, facilities, and IT to craft and implement the best workplace solutions for employees. Â
Working in the heart of the office, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the relationship between our physical spaces, our people, and our culture — ensuring every employee feels engaged, supported, and connected to the vision and values of Avalere Health.Â
This is a 12 month Fixed-Term Contract, starting in the second half of October - ideal for someone is immediately available.
What You'll Do
Workplace OperationsÂ
Oversee the day-to-day operational running of all our UK office locations, ensuring all sites are safe, functional, well-maintained, and consistently presented to a high standardÂ
Manage relationships with building management, facilities vendors, and service providers (cleaning, catering, security, maintenance, etc.)Â
Maintains office supply stock (takes inventory, orders supply, and handles delivery) and manages local budget for orders Â
Maintains office equipment (phones, copiers, coffee machine, etc). Schedules maintenance as neededÂ
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, conducting regular audits and maintaining up-to-date documentation across all sitesÂ
Acts as the main point of contact for on-site employees on all office related matters, including providing concierge level service for all visiting executives and clientsÂ
Maintains local office alarm, building, and parking access controlsÂ
Acts as local office fire warden (attend annual building training, maintain fire drill checklist, lead annual fire drill, etc.)Â Â
Follows proper billing protocol to process monthly expense reportÂ
Provides support for the Workplace ticketing systemÂ
Manages UK sundry and social budgets, tracking spend and identifying cost efficienciesÂ
Employee Experience & CultureÂ
Design and deliver a consistent, engaging employee experience across all office locations — from onboarding to everyday moments that matterÂ
Lead the planning and execution of company-wide and office-specific events, including all-hands, team socials, seasonal celebrations, milestone recognition, and community initiativesÂ
Champion the company's values and culture, developing programs and initiatives that bring them to life in a meaningful and authentic wayÂ
Manage internal and external client meetings (conference room setup, catering, clean-up)Â
Partner with People Team, Internal Comms, and leadership to align culture initiatives with broader business goals and people strategyÂ
Efficiency & Process ImprovementÂ
Continuously review and improve workplace and operational processes to drive efficiency, reduce friction, and enhance the employee experienceÂ
Develop and maintain clear SOPs and playbooks for all core workplace and culture operations, ensuring consistency across sitesÂ
Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects that improve how the business operates day-to-dayÂ
 Travel ManagementÂ
Act as the primary point of contact for travel tools and transportation booking enquirers, ensuring cost-efficient and employee-friendly solutions.Â
Manage ground transportation booking as neededÂ
Support employees with travel queries, escalations, and complex itineraries as neededÂ
Keep abreast of travel risk and duty of care obligations, ensuring the company meets its responsibilities for employee safety while travellingÂ
About You
Circa 5 years of experience in a workplace, office management, people operations, or culture-focused role, ideally within a multi-site environmentÂ
Proven track record of managing office portfolios and delivering high-quality employee experiences at scaleÂ
A natural people-person with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels of the businessÂ
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneouslyÂ
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across the businessÂ
Commercially minded, with experience managing budgets and vendor negotiationsÂ
Experience with workplace technology and ticketing systems.Â
Knowledge of health & safety, ESG, and CSR best practices is desirable.Â
