- Drafting of decision documents for management, management team, Management Board and Supervisory Board
- Independent provision of advice to management of country and site, for all legal matters involving commercial and public law,
- including general analysis, providing and taking full responsibility for independent legal advice, analysis of concrete legal issues being faced by the legal entity, independent drafting of possible solutions and their evaluation in light of specific operational conditions, proposal of options for legal arrangements and for implementation
- Representing the division companies on country level in court and vis-à-vis local authorities domestically and internationally, as permitted by laws governing the profession, otherwise by coordination of and cooperation with external law firms – also including the negotiation and conclusion of court and out-of-court settlements on a case-by-case basis
- Creation, review, analysis and negotiation of contracts and other legal documents
- Development, coordination and drafting of measures (e.g. policies and guidelines) on circumstances solely of legal relevance.
- Continuous coordination and communication with international colleagues, management staff and various stakeholders as well as being representative for Legal in country and site.
- Selection, commissioning, management and supervision of external lawyers and notaries
- Design and organization/performance of training; analysis of training needs and initiation of new training in the respective area of expertise
- Legal input into the design of business processes to identify and safeguard business opportunities, and to avoid and mitigate risks and losses/damage. Report and inform Central Legal function of main risks and opportunities in accordance with defined objectives on global level
- Provision of verbal or written advice and support to those with responsibility for operations and their teams in the implementation legal standards in general and on a case-by-case basis, proposal of possible solutions in terms of the respective decisions to be taken
- Representation of the legal department on high-level panels
- Taking full responsibility for the management of complex and interdisciplinary domestic (sub-)projects, control of internal and external resources, cost reporting as required
- Cost-consciousness and cost management; staying within the agreed budget, budget creation for the respective area of expertise assigned
- Identification and analysis of need for action in the respective area of expertise, control and coordination of specialist topics/selected tasks
- Ongoing optimization of the field of responsibility (area of expertise) in terms of efficiency and operational order, participation in topics for strategic orientation

• Bachelor's degree in Law.
• Experience in corporate/commercial law.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, compliance, and legal regulations.
• Experience providing legal advice and managing legal risks.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English.
