The LGIMA Distribution team is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join our Consultant Relations team. The Associate will support the firm’s efforts to build and maintain strong relationships with investment consultants and contribute to business development and client retention initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Support senior Consultant Relations and Distribution professionals in managing and expanding relationships with global and regional investment consultants.
- Assist with the preparation of presentation materials, pitch books, and product updates for consultant meetings.
- Assist with responses to consultant and RFP inquiries, due diligence requests, and questionnaires.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Distribution, Investments, Client Strategy, Solutions Strategy, Product, Marketing, and Compliance, to ensure consistent messaging and timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain and expand consultant data in the CRM system to track consultant interactions, ratings, and shared assets. Responsible for data clean-up, managing contact lists for marketing campaigns, pipeline management, and updating consultant profiles. Â
- Work with internal marketing teams to help with maintaining and updating consultant databases (e.g., eVestment, Callan, etc.) with firm, product, and performance data.
- Track and analyze consultant activity, search trends, and market intelligence to identify opportunities.
- Monitor industry developments and competitor positioning to inform strategy.
- Assist in planning senior leadership roadshows and regular consultant dialogues.
- When Appropriate, accompany senior team members (typically onsite, but some travel will be required) to engage with prospective new clients/consultants to educate about LGIMA’s solutions and products.
- When appropriate, attend Consultant conferences and LGIMA roadshows building relationships and educating future clients about LGIMA capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree with coursework in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields.
- 3+ years’ experience in asset management, investment consulting, or financial services.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with institutional investment products (Fixed Income, Equities) and the consultant landscape a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to build strong relationships with colleagues using active listening and problem resolution competencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM/database tools (e.g., Salesforce, eVestment).
The starting salary offer will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s education, job-related experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location, and market factors. This position is also eligible to participate in the company’s annual discretionary bonus plan.
