Role Purpose:
The Head of Training is responsible for developing, leading and delivering the organisation's learning and development strategy across all areas of the LRG business. The role ensures employees possess the knowledge, skills and professional competencies required to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain regulatory compliance, and achieve commercial objectives.
This role is not looking for someone that has had years of experience running training sessions but someone who is motivated to providing exceptional training facilities across the group through their teams of highly experienced trainers and managers. The role will oversee the design, implementation and evaluation of training programmes for all divisions across the group estate, while promoting a culture of continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning & Development Strategy
Develop and implement a company-wide training and development strategy aligned with business objectives and the company pillars.
Create the environment, systems and standards for excellent learning.
Identify current and future skills gaps across the organisation.
Establish learning pathways for new starters, managers, and senior leaders.
Create annual training plans and budgets.
Ensure learning initiatives support employee engagement, retention, and performance.
Ensure teams design and deliver high-quality training programmes using a blend of classroom, virtual and e-learning methods.
Ensure training materials, manuals, guides and digital learning content is accurate and up to date.
Ensure all training reflects current UK property legislation and industry best practice.
Maintain mandatory training programmes are completed with a compliance rate of 95% across the group
Support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
Ensure acquisitions are successfully onboarded into the group
Managing relationships with L&D suppliers and external suppliers
Work closely with the wider HR management team
Establish KPIs to measure training effectiveness.
Analyse learning outcomes and business performance data.
Produce regular reports for senior leadership.
Continuously improve training programmes based on feedback and results.
Partner with operational leaders to understand training needs.
Build relationships with external training providers and industry bodies.
Act as the organisation's subject matter expert on learning and development.
Lead, develop and manage the training teams through the management structure.
Set objectives and performance standards for direct reports.
Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively.

Strong leadership and people management capability, as well as stakeholder engagement and influencing at senior level.
Strategic thinking and commercial awareness, whilst ensuring operational excellence.
Excellent communication skills and relationship building skills
Project management, organisational skills and budget management
Change and transformation leadership
Desirable, but not essential experience
Experience in Learning & Development, Training Management or Organisational Development.
Experience within the UK property sector, including estate agency, lettings, property management, housing or related industries. With strong awareness of industry regulations and compliance.
Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale training programmes.
