Summary

UST is looking for an experiencedMERN Stack / Full Stack Developer with strong expertise inNode.js and hands-on experience building scalable, secure, and high-performing web applications. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end development experience acrossMongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js, along with experience inSnowflake, REST API development, cloud technologies, and CI/CD.

Candidates with experience inhealthcare data analytics and US Healthcare systems will be preferred.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled MERN Stack / Full Stack Developer to design, develop, integrate, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services. The role will involve working across the complete software development lifecycle and collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalablefull-stack web applications using theMERN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
• Develop robust and reusable backend services and APIs usingNode.js and Express.js.
• Build responsive and user-friendly frontend applications usingReact.js and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Design and implement efficient data models and database solutions usingMongoDB.
• Work withSnowflake for data integration, analytics, and data-driven application requirements.
• Develop, integrate, and consumeREST APIs for application and system integrations.
• Implement asynchronous programming, error handling, authentication, authorization, and application security best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, data teams, and other engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in application design, development, testing, debugging, deployment, and production support activities.
• UseGit/Bitbucket for source code management, branching, pull requests, and collaborative development.
• Develop and maintainCI/CD pipelines and support automated application deployment.
• LeverageGitHub Copilot and AI-assisted IDE/CLI tools to improve software development lifecycle (SDLC) productivity and code quality.
• Support application containerization and deployment usingDocker.
• Work with cloud-based environments, preferablyAWS, for application development and deployment.
• Follow coding standards, secure development practices, unit testing, code reviews, and Agile methodologies.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and application defects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and provide clear technical communication throughout the development lifecycle.

What you need

Required Skills

• 5+ years of overall professional experience in MERN Stack / Full Stack Development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
  • Node.js
  • Express.js
  • React.js
  • MongoDB
• Strong knowledge ofJavaScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming.
• Experience inREST API development, integration, and consumption.
• Experience withSnowflake and data-driven application development.
• Strong understanding of full-stack application architecture and development.
• Experience withGit/Bitbucket and version control practices.
• Good understanding ofCI/CD pipelines and application deployment.
• Experience usingAI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, AI-enabled IDEs, or CLI tools within the SDLC.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strongstakeholder management and collaboration capabilities.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge ofPython and Python REST APIs for scripting, backend services, or integration tasks.
• Experience withAWS cloud services and application deployment.
• Experience withDocker and containerization.
• Knowledge of healthcare data analytics and healthcare information systems.
• Prior experience working in theUS Healthcare industry.
• Understanding of healthcare-specific data, workflows, and regulatory considerations.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Qualification

• Bachelor's or Master's degree inComputer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computational Linguistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ph.D. preferred.
• Equivalent technical education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
