About the Solomon Islands Australia Education Partnership 

The Solomon Islands-Australia Education Partnership (Edukeson fo iumi) program to support basic education - Stronger Education Together (SET) - aims to improve equitable school access and enhance the quality of education.   The program is an eight-year commitment by the Australian Government to improving access and quality of education in the Solomon Islands. 

The program is managed under the Australia-Solomon Islands Program Support (ASIPS) Facility by DT Global and commenced 1 April 2025.

The Role
The SET Operations Lead is a key member of the Program Management Team (PMT), supporting the day-to-day implementation, coordination, monitoring, and administration of the program. The role provides stakeholder liaison, oversees education resource distribution, supports NGO grant management, and works closely with the Deputy Team Leader to ensure effective program delivery and performance. The position also serves as a key point of contact with government and non-government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in education, project management, business, international development, or a related field.

Essential Experience and Skills

• Experience coordinating activities and managing relationships with multiple stakeholders and partners.
• Strong project management, financial monitoring, and reporting skills.
• Proven ability to supervise staff and support performance improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural skills.
• Ability to work effectively within diverse and geographically dispersed teams.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Desirable

• Experience working on international development programs in Solomon Islands, Melanesia, or the Pacific region.
• Experience engaging with donors, government agencies, and NGOs.
• Ability to communicate in Solomon Islands Pidgin is an advantage.
