LACTATION CONSULTANT (IBCLC) - PER DIEM

Coulee Medical Center is looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable Per Diem Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to provide personalized breastfeeding and infant-feeding support to pregnant and postpartum moms and their families.

In this rewarding role, you’ll provide one-on-one lactation consultations, help families navigate feeding challenges, develop individualized feeding plans, and serve as a trusted resource for our OB, nursing, and healthcare teams. You’ll also have the opportunity to support staff education and help strengthen evidence-based breastfeeding practices throughout our organization.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide prenatal and postpartum lactation consultations and education
• Support families with breastfeeding, pumping, milk supply, latch, infant feeding, and return-to-work planning
• Develop individualized feeding plans and provide follow-up support
• Collaborate with providers, nurses, and community resources
• Educate and support staff in lactation best practices
• Help promote positive outcomes for moms, babies, and families

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Current IBCLC certification
• BLS certification
• At least 1 year of lactation consultation experience preferred
• Strong communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach

Benefits/SalaryBenefits/Salary:Per Diem employees are not eligible for benefits, but will receive a 15% differential on top of their base wage, as well as Paid Sick Leave accrual (.025/hr)

Pay/Grade Range: The pay grade range for this position has been finalized for the facility according to an evaluation of the roles’ duties and requirements. The selected candidate will be placed within the appropriate range based on job knowledge, skills, education and experience.
