Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support LabVantage LIMS production and non-production environments.
- Manage database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning recommendations.
- Perform backup, recovery, disaster recovery testing, and database replication activities.
- Troubleshoot database, application, and integration-related issues impacting LabVantage LIMS.
- Support environment refreshes, deployments, and release management activities.
- Ensure database security, user access management, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and vendor teams for issue resolution and platform enhancements.
- Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and support procedures.
- Participate in on-call support and major incident management activities as required.
- 5+ years of Database Administration experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supportingLabVantage LIMS.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Experience with database performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, and capacity planning.
- Hands-on experience with backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability configurations.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in regulated environments.
- Strong problem-solving and production support skills.
- Knowledge of Linux and/or Windows server administration.
- Experience in Life Sciences, Biotech, Pharmaceutical, or Laboratory environments.
- Familiarity with LabVantage upgrades, integrations, and configuration management.
- Understanding of GxP, CSV, 21 CFR Part 11, and validation practices.
- Experience working in a managed services or application support model.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a global support environment.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Collaborative mindset with customer-focused delivery approach.
