Overview of the role Â

TheBartender willbe responsible for making alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages byfollowingrecipesand delivering high-quality food and drinks in a clean and friendly environment.  TheBartender willalsoberesponsible for ensuring exceptional service to all guests thatare consistent and continuallyin accordance with the service standards of Mainsail Lodging & Development.Â

What you have Â
High school diploma, equivalent, or higherÂ
Previous hospitality experienceÂ
2 years ofbartending experience in high volume bar or restaurantÂ
General knowledge of cocktail crafting and mixology fundamentalsÂ
Excellent customer service skillsÂ
Strong communications skills, both verbal and writtenÂ
Ability to use technology, e.g., tablets, iPads, computers, andPOSÂ
Experience working on ateamÂ
Ability to work quickly in a clean, organized, and effectivemannerÂ
A sense of ownership in everything that you doÂ

Whatyou’ll do Â
Serve guests in an efficient manner while following steps of service, preparing cocktails, pouring beer and wine, and makingbeverage recommendationsÂ
Food running to serve bar and bar area guestsÂ
Prep and stock barforappropriateservice period to ensure successful barserviceÂ
Clean glasses, tools, utensils, and bar equipmentÂ
Maintainknowledge of current menu offerings, includingingredients, preparations, and accompanimentsÂ
Curate guests’ bar experience by making recommendations based on guest preferences andneedsÂ
Maintain knowledge of beverages including beer, wine, and liquorÂ
Collect and process payment for food and beverages served, making sure to follow proper cash handlingproceduresÂ
Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area andcoolersÂ
