Pulp, Energy and Circularity business line supplies complete pulp mills and process equipment for chemical and mechanical pulp production, as well as biomass- and waste-fueled power plants, boilerislands and related environmental systems. The business area’s customers aremainly pulp producers and power and heat producers. Â
As a Senior Manager, Plant Engineeringyou will lead and manage global plant engineering resourcesand development across the full lifecycle of our customer deliveries,from sales support and concept development to project execution and lifecycle services.Â
You will report toVice President, Global Engineering and will be part of thePECGlobal Engineering Management Team. You will work closely together with other engineering and project execution functions as well as the TUs and BUs.Â
Position can be located in any of the Valmet PEC location -Karlstad, Sundsvall, Gothenburg, Shanghai, Copenhagen
ResponsibilitiesÂ
Lead and manage global plant engineering resources, execution, and development across the full lifecycle of customer deliveriesÂ
Lead and manage discipline managers for piping, CSA, and layout, ensuring quality,timely, and competitive outputs for sales, procurement, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and lifecycle supportÂ
You will oversee engineering department activities and subcontractor performance to ensure successful project execution and business outcomesÂ
You will build and lead a high-performing engineering team through recruitment, performance management, succession planning, and team developmentÂ
Continuously develop plant engineering in a systematic way, supporting strategic goals and strengthening lifecycle thinking in engineering practicesÂ
Build a result-driven PEC team spirit and develop competence and flexibility in the global resource poolÂ
ExpectationsÂ
You have a relevant B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Engineering.Â
You have 15–20 yearsof relevant engineering leadership experience in project-driven environmentstrack record of resource management and cooperation on a global scaleÂ
You have excellentproficiency in English, both verbal and written. Other languages are considered an advantageÂ
You have strong people leadership experience, including team structure design, performance management, and talent developmentÂ
You are comfortable working in a global environment across multiple locations.Â
You have willingness to travel, even at short noticeÂ

Success in this role requires strong engineering leadership, the ability to deliver complex projects through large and distributed teams, and sound judgment when balancing technical, business, and resource considerations Â
