The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of software solutions that meet the needs of the organisation. The role involves providing technical expertise, guiding the engineering team at a pod level, and ensuring the delivery of high quality software products.Ce que vous ferez
Lead the design and development of complex software applications, ensuring they meet technical and business requirements.You will take accountability for your pod’s outcomes, implementation of software architectural principles, development patterns, and best practices for new and existing code and services.
Utilise advanced programming skills to write, test, and maintain high quality code.
Apply broad expertise in software engineering to develop innovative solutions and improve functionality.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team.
Direct the application of existing principles and contribute to the development of new ideas.
Recognised internally as a subject matter expert, providing leadership on technical projects and initiatives.
Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables and provide estimates.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.Â
Facilitate collaboration among team members, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
Develop creative solutions to complex problems, leveraging a thorough understanding of software engineering principles.Â
Meet agreed quality and test coverage standards by driving a test-first mindset.
Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
