About the Role:
We are looking for adedicated and detail-driven Quality Control / Quality Assurance Engineer (Electrical) to join our team.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring adherence to quality standards across all project stages — frominward material inspection toshop floor process inspection andfinal FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing).

Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Inward Inspection & Material Quality:
- Conductincoming inspection of all electrical, mechanical, and fabricated components including cables, motors, drives, panels, relays, contactors, and structural parts.
- VerifyMaterial Test Certificates (MTCs), calibration reports, and supplier quality documentation.
- Ensureconformance of inward materials to approved specifications, drawings, and standards before release to production.
- Identify and segregatenon-conforming materials and coordinate with the purchase/vendor development team for resolution.
- Maintain and updateinward inspection records, GRN logs, and rejection reports.
🔹 Shop Floor & Process Inspection:
- Performin-process inspection of electrical assembly, wiring, and integration of control panels, junction boxes, and crane systems.
- Installation, Parameterisation, troubleshooting and Commissioningof the Drives and Inverters.
- Hands-on experience inVFD parameter setup,PLC-based system inspection, andelectrical panel testing.
- Strong technical understanding ofcrane electricals, drives, motors, and control systems.
- Inspectdrive installations (VFDs, Soft Starters, PLC panels) and ensure proper configuration, parameterization, and interlocking with control systems.
- Verifywiring standards, cable routing, earthing, and termination quality as per design and safety norms.
- Monitor and ensure compliance towelding quality standards (WPS, PQR, WPQ) and fabrication tolerances.
- Conductprocess audits to ensure adherence to inspection checklists and control plans.
- Collaborate with production and design teams to address and eliminate quality issues proactively.
🔹 Testing & Final Inspection:
- Prepare and executeFactory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as per customer and project requirements.
- Performfunctional, continuity, insulation resistance, and high-voltage tests for electrical systems and panels.
- Ensure all testing instruments arecalibrated and traceable to national/international standards.
- Review and maintainFAT reports, inspection test plans (ITPs), and quality dossiers for client handover.
🔹 Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement:
- Implement and maintain quality management practices as perISO 9001:2015.
- UseQC tools (7 QC Tools, CAPA, FMEA, Pareto Analysis, 5 Why) to drive continual improvement.
- Participate ininternal audits and supportthird-party inspections and customer quality audits.
- Identify process gaps, propose corrective actions, and monitor their effectiveness.
🔹Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards
Educational Qualification:
- B.E. / B.Tech inElectrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- Minimum5 years of experience inQuality Control / Assurance withincrane manufacturing, Electrical assemblies, fabrication, or heavy engineering industry.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Sound knowledge ofelectrical systems used in cranes, hoists, or heavy equipment.
- Strong understanding ofwelding standards and visual inspection techniques.
- Proficient ininward and in-process inspection methods and documentation.
- Familiar withQA/QC tools, calibration practices, and ISO standards.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and report-writing abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate across departments.
