Runner

Location: Ronnies Cafe London (Regent Street)

Position Summary:
The Runner is an essential member of the front-of-house team, supporting both servers and kitchen staff to ensure a seamless and efficient dining experience. This role is responsible for quickly and accurately delivering food and beverages from the kitchen to guests, resetting and cleaning tables, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe dining area. The Runner works collaboratively with all front-of-house and back-of-house staff, contributing to an elevated level of service and overall guest satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:

- Deliver food and beverage orders from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately.
- Support servers by resetting tables, refilling water, and anticipating guest needs.
- Clear tables efficiently, ensuring a clean and welcoming dining environment.
- Partner with kitchen staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, service stations, and surrounding areas.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing supplies when needed.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house and back-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Uphold all health, hygiene, and safety standards throughout the shift.

Special Projects/Tasks:

- Assist with preparation and execution of private events or special functions.
- Support front-of-house leadership with additional operational tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Availability:

- Open and flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Licenses/Certificates:

- Valid Food Handler’s Certificate (preferred).

Experience:

- 1+ years of experience in a restaurant, café, or hospitality environment (preferred).
- Experience in a high-volume setting is an asset.

Skills & Abilities:

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 13.6 kilos and stand/walk for prolonged periods.
