POSITION OVERVIEWĀ 

KIPP Indy Public School’s Senior Director of Diverse Learners works intensively with Directors of Diverse Learners, School Leaders, Assistant School Leaders, academic team leaders, teachers, and students to support students at KIPP Indy. Reporting to the Managing Director of Diverse Learners, the SD, DL will play a lead role in strengthening their academic skills, intellectual habits, and character traits needed to succeed in the nation’s most competitive colleges, universities, post-secondary programs, and careers.Ā 

RESPONSIBILITIESĀ 

  • Oversee school-level data collection and support desktop monitoring for audits and State/Federal Accountability Measures Ā 
  • Oversee progress monitoring fidelity of IEP implementationĀ 
  • Support Special Education programming, compliance, initiatives and evaluations, through oversight, development, implementation monitoring, and communicationĀ 
  • Foster collaboration and alignment between all stakeholdersĀ Ā Ā 
  • Create and lead professional development opportunities for DL and larger school teams to ensure best practices with content differentiation, modification, accommodation, and IEP implementationĀ Ā 
  • Supports compliance in PowerSchool Special Programs platform processes Ā 
  • Serve as Public Agency RepresentativeĀ Ā Ā 
  • Coaching, managing, and completing evaluations for all direct reportsĀ Ā 
  • Maintain positive relationships with partnering agencies Ā 
  • Maintain all data dashboards andĀ relevant SIS/PowerSchool data to ensure information accuracy and accessibility Ā 
  • Collaborate with MD, Diverse Learners on all Manifestation DeterminationĀ 

QUALIFICATIONSĀ Ā 

  • Minimum 4 years of exemplary teaching experience with strong student achievement resultsĀ 
  • Minimum 2 years of exemplary, full-time teacher coaching and adult management experienceĀ 
  • Minimum 2 years curriculum development and managementĀ 
  • Hold current licensure in Special EducationĀ Ā 
  • Model of effective and high-quality instructionĀ 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive student successĀ 
  • Experience planning and leading engaging and effective professional development for adultsĀ 
  • Experience in curriculum support, such as assessment writing and/or scope and sequence managementĀ 
  • Strong project management skills, organizational skills, and attention to detailĀ 
  • Excellent communicator, who can work with internal and external stakeholdersĀ

Licensed teacher starting at $80,000
Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a highly competitive benefits package. Opportunities for performance-based bonuses are also available.
