AbouttheRole

We are seeking a Compliance Manager to support bp’s European APAC Power & Carbon (EPAC) Trading and Origination business.Thisroleplaysacriticalpartinensuringcompliancewithregulatoryrequirements,tradingvenuerules,andbppolicieswhilepartneringcloselywithcommercialteamstoenableresponsiblebusinessgrowth.

Reporting to the Senior Compliance Manager, you will provide expert advice, conduct compliance monitoring and surveillance activities, identify and mitigate compliance risks, and helpfosterastrongcultureofethicsandintegrityacrossthetradingbusiness.

KeyResponsibilities

Providetimelycomplianceandregulatoryadvicetotrading,origination,andsupportteamsacrosstheEPACbusiness.
Monitorandassessregulatorydevelopmentsimpactingcommoditytradingactivities,includingREMIT,MiFIDII,EMIR,MAR,ETS2andrelatedregulatoryframeworks.
Conductsurveillanceandmonitoringactivitiestoensurecompliancewithtradingvenuerulesandmarketconductrequirements.
Supportthedeliveryandongoingenhancementofarisk-basedtradingcompliancemonitoringprogramme.
Identify,assess,andmitigatecompliancerisksassociatedwithexistingandnewbusinessactivities.
Maintainandenhancecompliancepolicies,procedures,andcontrols,ensuringdocumentationremainscurrentandaccessible.
Delivercompliancetrainingandawarenessinitiativestoimproveunderstandingofregulatoryobligationsandinternalrequirements.
Partnerwithfrontoffice,operations,legal,risk,andothersupportfunctionstoembedstrongcompliancepractices.
Supportinvestigations,incidentmanagement,andregulatoryinquirieswhererequired.
BuildstrongrelationshipsacrossglobalEthics&Complianceteamstofacilitateknowledgesharingand standard methodologyadoption.

EssentialExperience&Skills

Degreequalifiedorequivalentprofessionalexperience.
Strongknowledgeofenergycommoditytradingmarketsandtradingbusinessprocesses.
UnderstandingofkeyregulatoryframeworksincludingREMIT,MiFIDII,MAR,EMIR,FCArequirements,andrelatedmarketconductobligations.
Experienceprovidingcompliance,regulatory,risk,orgovernancesupportwithinatradingenvironment.
Abilitytoinfluenceandbuildcredibilitywithstakeholdersatalllevels.
Stronganalytical,problem-solving,anddecision-makingcapabilities.
Excellentcommunicationandstakeholdermanagementskills.
Highlevelsofintegrity,soundjudgement,andprofessionalcourage.
Abilitytoworkeffectivelywithinafast-paced,global,andhighlyregulatedenvironment.

PreferredExperience

Experiencewithingasandpowertradingmarkets.
Knowledgeofautomatedoralgorithmictradingactivitiesandassociatedcompliancerequirements.
Experiencedevelopinganddeliveringcompliancetrainingprogrammes.
Previousexperienceengagingwithregulatorsandmanagingregulatoryrelationships.
