This internship role is designed for high-performing engineering students to gain hands-on experience through meaningful projects that support Smith+Nephew's goals. The program provides valuable exposure to the medical device industry, professional development, and potential future career opportunities.
 

What will you be doing?

• Support engineering projects and studies under the guidance of managers.

• Prepare study plans, reports, and project presentations for senior leadership.

• Update and maintain procedures, work instructions, and forms.

• Conduct engineering studies, inspections, and statistical analyses.

• Perform calibration and verification activities.
   

What will you need to be successful?

• This internship opportunity is open to undergraduate students pursuing Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, or related disciplines. The position is based full-time on-site at Smith & Nephew Operations Sdn. Bhd. in Penang.

• Candidates with exposure to CAD software, statistical tools, and measurement equipment will have an added advantage. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T, good English communication skills, and a strong willingness to learn and work with data.
