The Middle School Reading Interventionist works with the āAt-Riskā student population to provide remediation to support academic goals to increase growth in these areas.Ā
Start Date: School Year 26/27
This position offers a base salary around$47,000 plus the eligibility of a performance bonus.

This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week isĀ required. Ability toĀ maintainĀ a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.Ā

Modifies and/or adapts the K12 curriculum in alignment with the stateās content standards to meet the unique needs of each student;Ā
Collaborates with general education teachers to meet the goals of the targeted students through individualized and small group sessions;Ā
Educates parents on various instructional strategies;Ā
Ensures the implementation of the RTI instructional system to increase student achievement;Ā
Oversees data collection and progress monitoring at every tier; Uses data to help teachers plan whole and small group instruction; provides guidance to teachers onĀ identifyingĀ and grouping students who needĀ additionalĀ help;Ā
Collects andĀ maintainsĀ all RTI data (lists of eligible students, intervention plans).Ā
Serves as a daily resource to school administrators, school leadership teams, and other stakeholders regarding RTI issues.Ā
CollaboratesĀ withĀ homeroom teachers, advisors, counselors, andĀ additionalĀ district personnel to coordinate and track Tier 2 interventions.Ā
Provides ongoing training and support to school/district staff regarding RTI and the implementation of the RTI and data collection procedures.Ā
Supports teachers in documenting student progress;Ā
Works with the special education team toĀ facilitateĀ eligibility for special education;Ā
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school.Ā

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:āÆāÆĀ
Ā
Bachelor's degree ANDĀ
Active state teaching license ANDĀ
Ability to clear required background checkĀ
Ā
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:āÆĀ
Ability to work collaboratively with other teachersāÆtoāÆinterpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data, andāÆuse it to drive instructional decisions.Ā
Receptive to receiving coaching regularly with administrators and teacher trainers.Ā
Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes.Ā
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.Ā
Ability to rapidly learn and adapt toĀ new technologiesĀ and teaching platforms.Ā
Ability toĀ maintainĀ teacherĀ certification/professionalĀ development hours and fluency in K12 systems,Ā programsĀ and curriculum.Ā

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: āÆĀ
Experience working with proposed age group.Ā
Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology.Ā
Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment.Ā
Experience with online learning platforms.Ā
