Senior Platform Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilledSenior Platform Engineer to drive the design, evolution, and reliability of our platform ecosystem. In this role, you will takeownership of technical decisions, guide architectural direction, andcoordinate technical work across engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.

You will act as a bridge between engineering, product, and operations, balancinghands-on engineering withtechnical leadership and collaboration.

Your role:

Technical Leadership & Decision-Making

• Own and drivearchitecture and design decisions for platform services and infrastructure.

• Define and enforceengineering standards, best practices, and design patterns.

• Evaluate and select technologies, tools, and frameworks aligned with business goals.

• Providetechnical guidance and mentorship to engineers across the team.

• Lead design reviews and ensure solutions meetscalability, performance, and reliability requirements.

Team Coordination & Delivery

• Coordinate technical tasks across multiple engineers and teams to ensureconsistent progress and alignment.

• Break down high-level initiatives intoactionable engineering work items.

• Act as atechnical point of contact for cross-team initiatives and dependencies.

• Facilitate collaboration between development, QA, DevOps, and product teams.

• Support delivery planning and help removetechnical blockers.

Platform Engineering & Operations

• Design and maintain robustplatform infrastructure (cloud, on-prem, hybrid).

• Build and improveCI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.

• Ensure high availability, observability, and performance of platform services.

• Driveinfrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration management adoption.

• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.

Reliability, Security & Compliance

• Ensure systems meetsecurity, compliance, and governance standards.

• ChampionSRE principles including SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets.

• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement after incidents.

• Improve system resilience and disaster recovery capabilities.

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5–10+ years of experience inplatform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.

• Proven experience inmaking and owning architectural decisions.

• Strong proficiency incloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

• Experience with:

  • Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, etc.)

  • CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)

• Strong scripting or programming skills (Python, Go, Bash, etc.).

• Experience working inAgile/DevOps environments.
