Operation

Carry out painting, repainting, touch-up, polishing, and finishing work across guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, offices, back-of-house areas, and other hotel premises.

Inspect painted surfaces regularly and identify areas requiring repair, touch-up, repainting, or refinishing.

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks, removing old paint, and applying primer as required.

Apply emulsion, enamel, distemper, primer, varnish, wood polish, and other approved coatings as per requirements.

Match and mix paints to achieve the required shade, colour, texture, and finish.

Carry out minor painting and touch-up work on walls, ceilings, doors, frames, furniture, wooden fixtures, metal surfaces, and other painted areas.

Ensure proper preparation and protection of floors, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and guest belongings before starting painting work.

Use brushes, rollers, spray equipment, sanding tools, scrapers, ladders, and other painting equipment safely and correctly.

Complete assigned painting work within the required timeline and maintain expected quality standards.

Attend to maintenance work orders related to painting and surface finishing.

Carry out preventive painting maintenance to maintain the overall appearance of the hotel.

Identify dampness, cracks, peeling paint, water seepage, or other surface issues and report them to the Engineering Supervisor/Chief Engineer.

Coordinate with other Engineering team members for surface preparation, repair, carpentry, plumbing, or other related work before painting.

Maintain proper stock of paints, thinners, brushes, rollers, sandpaper, putty, masking materials, and other consumables.

Minimize wastage of paint and other materials and ensure proper storage after use.

Maintain cleanliness of the work area and properly dispose of paint containers, waste materials, and used consumables.

Perform any other painting or maintenance-related duties assigned by the Engineering Supervisor/Chief Engineer.

Other Responsibilities

• Be fully conversant with hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures

• Comply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all times

• Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management

• Report for duty on time wearing clean and complete uniform at all times

• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times

• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel
