Starting Pay: $31/hour — higher pay available based on experience

Position Overview

Seeking aStructural Steel Quality Control Specialist to inspect fabricated steel components and help maintain quality standards in an AISC-certified facility. Experienced senior structural steel fitters and fabricators with strong quality knowledge may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Inspect structural steel fabrication throughout the production process
• Compare fabricated materials withshop drawings, specifications, and required standards
• Performin-process and final inspections, including dimensional layout and part placement
• Identify, document, and follow up on nonconforming work in accordance withD1.1/D1.5
• Work with fabrication and production teams to investigate and correct quality concerns
• Support ongoingquality improvement efforts
• Assist with preparation for and participation inannual AISC QC audits

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of structural steel layout and fabrication experience
• Ability to read and interpretfabrication and construction drawings
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes and quality requirements
• Welding certification in D1.1 and/or D1.5 preferred
• Senior-level structural steel fitter/fabricator experience with quality inspection knowledge will be considered

Schedule

• Monday–Friday | 1st Shift
• Saturday overtime available
