Position Overview

We are hiring an experiencedSteel Loadout Supervisor to coordinate shipping and material-handling activities in a structural steel fabrication environment. This role combines hands-on leadership with responsibility for safe loading, accurate shipments, team coordination, and meeting delivery deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily steel loadout and shipping activities.
• Make sure steel and other materials are properly loaded, secured, identified, and ready for shipment.
• Check material markings, quantities, load details, and shipping paperwork for accuracy.
• Work with production, logistics, and shop personnel to coordinate scheduled deliveries.
• Complete and maintain load tickets and shipping records using production/shipping software.
• Train and assist new employees with shipping and loadout procedures.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and reinforce required safety practices.
• Monitor workflow and recommend improvements to increase efficiency.
• Provide hands-on direction to the shipping team in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in structural steel material handling or shipping.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience operating:
  • Overhead cranes
  • Telehandlers
  • Vertical mast lifts
  • Forklifts
  • Familiarity withTekla EPMgo or similar production/shipping software preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.
