CNC Machinist Programmer – 1st Shift

Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Saturday: 6:00 AM–12:00 PM
Schedule: Approximately 56 hours/week
Pay: Up to $33/hour, depending on experience
Employment: Potential Temp-to-Hire after 90 days

Position Overview

Seeking a CNC Machinist/Programmer to produce precision-machined industrial components. This role requires the ability to program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and mills while working from technical drawings and maintaining tight dimensional tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings and machining specifications.
• Program, set up, and operateCNC lathes and mills.
• Create and modify CNC programs usingG-code.
• Work withFagor, Fanuc, Haas, and Heidenhain controls; experience with every control is not required.
• Maintain machining tolerances as tight as0.0005 inch.
• Measure and verify finished parts using precision instruments, including:
  • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Dial bore gauges
  • Inspect completed work to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain consistent production and machining standards.
  • Follow safe work practices in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and arrive prepared for scheduled shifts.
  • Work scheduled overtime, including occasional Saturdays.
  • Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC programming and machining experience.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and/or mills.
• Ability to read and understand technical machining drawings.
• Knowledge of G-code programming.
• Strong precision measurement and inspection skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality.
• Ability to work independently in a heavy manufacturing environment.
