Shifts: 1st & 2nd Shift
Starting Pay: $24.00/hour, higher depending on experience
2nd Shift Differential: +$3.00/hour

Position Overview

We are looking for experiencedStructural Steel Welders/Fabricators to build and assemble steel components in a production fabrication shop. This hands-on position involves working from drawings, preparing and fitting steel, checking dimensions and alignment, and completing structural welds.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications before beginning work.
• Measure, mark, cut, fit, align, and assemble structural steel components.
• Perform structural steel welding according to project requirements and applicable standards.
• Set up and operate fabrication machinery, equipment, and hand tools.
• Work withoxyacetylene torches, plasma cutters, drill presses, angle presses, jigs, tape measures, and squares.
• Set up and operate atrack torch when required.
• Inspect dimensions, fit-up, alignment, and completed assemblies for accuracy.
• Make necessary adjustments to ensure proper fit and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow shop safety procedures and required workplace practices.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other fabrication team members to meet production schedules.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience instructural steel welding, fitting, or fabrication.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Hands-on experience measuring, fitting, aligning, and assembling structural steel.
• Knowledge of welding processes, fabrication machinery, and shop tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate dimensions.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work efficiently in a production-focused fabrication environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Flux Core welding experience.
• Ability to successfully pass aFlux Core welding test.
• Experience setting up and operating atrack torch.
• AWS or other welding certifications.
