Job Type: Direct Hire
Starting Pay: $32/hour — higher pay available based on experience
Shift Differential: Additional $3/hour for 2nd shift

MUST HAVE: Structural steel fabrication industry experience and priorForeman or leadership experience.

Position Overview

Lead second-shift operations in astructural steel fabrication shop, overseeing employees, production activities, equipment, materials, and daily workflow. The Foreman will help keep fabrication on schedule while maintaining safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• • Lead, direct, and support shop employees during 2nd shift
  • Oversee dailyfabrication and production activities
  • Manage shop personnel, equipment, tools, and materials
  • Maintain and updateproduction and fabrication schedules
  • Coordinate deliveries and help maintain inventory levels
  • Establish and follow standard fabrication procedures
  • Monitorquality control and ensure products meet customer requirements
  • Identify ways to improve productivity, efficiency, employee performance, and quality
  • Coordinate with project management, logistics, purchasing, other departments, and fabrication facilities to meet project schedules
  • Communicate product status, quality concerns, and delivery information as needed
  • Maintain equipment and facility areas as required
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to maintain effective working relationships
  • Balance shop workload and communicate staffing or production needs to management
  • Adjust work hours when necessary to support delivery schedules
  • Make operational decisions in the best interest of the company

Qualifications

• Structural steel fabrication industry experience required
• Foreman, supervisor, or leadership experience required
• Strong knowledge of the structural steel fabrication industry
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Proficiency withMicrosoft Office Suite
• Ability to work2nd shift, overtime, and Saturdays as needed
