Responsibilities
- Crypto System & Process Optimization: Formulate crypto-specific accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, local GAAP) tailored to digital currencies, and collaborate with IT to boost financial system automation for blockchain transactions.
Daily Accounting & Digital Asset Reporting: Oversee daily bookkeeping, digital asset settlements, token reconciliations, and the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and crypto risk analysis.
Audit Coordination: Manage internal and external audits, ensuring complete, authentic, and traceable financial documentation and disclosures for both fiat and cryptocurrency transactions.
Global Tax Strategy & Compliance: Lead international tax planning, calculations, declarations, and authority engagements across corporate, VAT, and digital asset/crypto tax frameworks.
Treasury & Asset Safeguarding: Supervise cash flow, fund reconciliations, fixed asset inventories, and the compliant management and custody of both corporate and user digital assets.
Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, manage, and mentor the accounting team, set OKRs, manage performance, and conduct ongoing training on crypto accounting and emerging blockchain tax standards.
Cross-Functional & Regulatory Support: Partner with trading, risk, and compliance teams to align crypto accounting practices with global regulations (e.g., FATF, MiCA) and core business goals.
Requirements
- Experience & Crypto Background: 7+ years in financial accounting (3+ years managing teams) withproven, hands-on experience in the cryptocurrency or digital asset industry, including crypto trading, wallet/custody accounting, and fund settlement.
Crypto Accounting & Tax Expertise: Deep knowledge of global standards (IFRS, US GAAP, local GAAP) and international tax policies specifically covering digital assets, tokenomics, tax planning, and cross-border crypto transactions.
Regulatory & Audit Experience: Strong compliance awareness regarding global crypto exchange regulations, with a proven track record of liaising with Big 4 external auditors and financial regulators on digital asset reporting.
Technical & System Skills: Proficient in major ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Kingdee), crypto reconciliation tools, and advanced Excel/data analysis for reporting and process automation.
Leadership & Communication: Strong team management abilities to build high-performing accounting teams, paired with fluent English and Chinese (Mandarin) communication skills.
Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are strongly preferred.
