  As a consultant within the HLS team, you will work with our clients to define their digital strategy and execution roadmap, and design and implement differentiated digital solutions to help deliver measurable value.

   

  Job Description:

  We are seeking an experienced Golang / PostgreSQL Developer with React expertise and 5–7 years of software engineering experience. The candidate should have good knowledge of the U.S. Healthcare domain, particularly Provider Operations, along with hands-on experience using Windsurf for AI-assisted software development.

  The role requires strong backend and full-stack engineering capabilities to design, develop, test, and enhance scalable healthcare applications and services. The candidate should be able to leverage Windsurf to accelerate development, testing, debugging, refactoring, and documentation while adhering to enterprise engineering, security, and quality standards.

  Key Responsibilities

  Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Golang (Go).

  Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, data models, and data-access components.

  Develop and enhance responsive web applications using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.

  Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices supporting healthcare applications.

  Develop solutions supporting Provider Operations, including provider onboarding, demographics, directory, networks, affiliations, specialties, service locations, credentialing, and related workflows.

  Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, architects, QA teams, and healthcare SMEs to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  Participate in solution design, development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.

  Troubleshoot application, API, integration, database, and performance issues.

  Develop unit and integration tests and support automated testing.

  Participate in Agile ceremonies, estimation, sprint planning, and technical documentation.

  Follow enterprise security, privacy, coding, CI/CD, and software-engineering standards.

  Windsurf / AI-Assisted Development

  Hands-on experience using Windsurf as part of day-to-day application development.

  Leverage Windsurf for code generation, refactoring, debugging, unit-test generation, documentation, and code analysis.

  Experience applying Windsurf to accelerate development of Golang services, PostgreSQL components, APIs, and React applications.

  Ability to effectively provide application/codebase context and instructions to AI-assisted development tools.

  Review, validate, test, and optimize AI-generated code before integration into enterprise applications.

  Apply AI-assisted engineering practices while complying with enterprise security, privacy, coding, and code-review standards.

  Ability to use AI-assisted development to improve engineering productivity without compromising code quality or maintainability.

  Required Technical Skills

  5–7 years of software development experience, with strong backend/full-stack development exposure.

  Strong hands-on development experience with Golang (Go).

  Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including SQL, data modeling, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.

  Hands-on development experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

  Hands-on experience with Windsurf or similar AI-assisted development environments, with Windsurf experience strongly preferred.

  Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, JSON, and enterprise integration patterns.

  Experience developing cloud-native and containerized applications.

  Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

  Experience with Git-based development and CI/CD pipelines.

  Strong understanding of unit testing, integration testing, debugging, logging, and application monitoring.

  Understanding of secure application-development practices, particularly when working with healthcare data.

  Healthcare / Provider Operations Experience

  Good understanding of the U.S. Healthcare payer ecosystem, with experience in Provider Operations.

  Knowledge of provider onboarding and lifecycle management.

  Experience with provider demographic and directory information.

  Understanding of provider networks, affiliations, specialties, service locations, and credentialing/recredentialing.

  Familiarity with provider data quality and provider-related integration workflows.

  Understanding of healthcare concepts including NPI, TIN, taxonomy, health plans, claims, members, and provider networks.

  Understanding of HIPAA, PHI, and healthcare data privacy/security requirements.

  Ability to work effectively with healthcare business SMEs and translate functional requirements into technical solutions.

  Preferred Skills

  Experience with AWS, Kafka/event-driven architectures, healthcare APIs and integration standards, automated testing frameworks, observability/monitoring tools, and large-scale healthcare application modernization would be advantageous.

The individual should be comfortable working independently in a complex enterprise environment and demonstrate a continuous-learning mindset, particularly around AI-assisted software engineering and modern development practices.
