Operations Manager, Payments (Kazakhstan)

About the role

Binance is exploring opportunities to expand its licensed payment business in Kazakhstan and the broader CIS region. We are looking for a Operations Manager to set up, run, and grow the local fiat business: day-to-day fiat operations, product localisation, partnerships with banks and payment providers, and market development.

Responsibilities

• Set up, sustain, and manage the local fiat business and fiat operations, including product localisation, and support the business on regulatory matters;
• Collect feedback from local users and communities, as well as competitor insights, to optimise the service offering;
• Explore collaboration opportunities with local fiat partners, blockchain and crypto communities, and industry associations to expand fiat awareness in the market;
• Develop further fiat-related partnerships, including fiat on-ramp providers and KYC vendors;
• Design and implement go-to-market strategies to grow fiat volumes, including content and promotion strategies;
• Maintain strong relationships with regulators, banks, and payment partners;
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulations to provide strategic advice;
• Lead local fiat growth and other business development activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven success in a similar role leading a business unit, business development, or business growth function at a blockchain or crypto company, financial institution, or bank;
• Deep understanding of local communities and the crypto space;
• Strong work ethic and commitment to results;
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team player;
• Problem-solving and results-driven mindset;
• Passion for crypto and digital assets;
• Fluent Russian and English required; Kazakh strongly preferred.
