- Follow up policies and procedures to comply company's requirements.
- Perform the process of roasting, grinding and preparation of the table to execute the coffee cupping process.
- Implement physical analysis on offers, pre-shipment & shipment samples.
- Prepare offer and Pre Shipment Samples (PSS) (weights, bags, labels) to send to clients.
- Perform the sensorial tasting process (Cupping) in order to determine the coffee quality.
- Implement replacement formulas for clients to meet client requirements
- Identify quality issues in order to propose effective solutions.
- Ensure equipment in the QC lab calibrated to make sure equipment are in proper conditions.
- Perform the maintenance and cleaning of the lab“s equipment and cupping room to ensure proper operation
- Control QC records & all retain samples (offers, PSSs, shipments) to meet requirements of certified coffee programs.
- Register QC information in the system to have updated data.
- Provide the required support to QC department when needed to guarantee the continuity of the area.
- BS or equivalent with a major in Food Science /Biology
- A Certificate in coffee cupping is a major asset.
- 1+ years of related experience.
- English is a plus
- Integrity, disciplined and well organized in work habit, with ability to function smoothly in pressure situations.
- Ability to travel frequently to the field.
