The Physical Security Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, configuration, installation, testing, and commissioning ofintegrated electronic security systems, includingCCTV, Access Control Systems (ACS), and Intrusion Detection & Alarm Systems (IDAS). The engineer will ensure all systems are implemented according to project requirements, international standards, and client specifications while providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design & Engineering
Develop and reviewsystem designs,schematics, andshop drawings for CCTV, ACS, and IDAS.
Preparedevice layouts, riser diagrams, cable routing, and power/networking plans.
Ensure all designs comply withclient specifications, HCIS, SEC, or MOI standards, and project scope.
Participate intechnical submittal preparation and handle design-related queries from clients or consultants.
2. Installation & Configuration
Supervise or support theinstallation of cameras, access control devices, panels, and sensors.
Configure and integrate systems using manufacturer software and network tools.
Verify proper functionality of all field devices, controllers, and network connectivity.
Conductpre-commissioning and final testing to ensure full system performance.
3. Commissioning & Support
Performsystem commissioning, programming, and troubleshooting for CCTV, ACS, and IDAS.
Conductsystem acceptance testing (SAT/FAT) and prepare related reports.
Providetechnical support and on-site guidance to project and maintenance teams.
Support preparation ofas-built drawings, configuration backups, and O&M documentation.
4. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, and site supervisors for smooth execution.
Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure compatibility of components.
Support procurement by reviewingtechnical datasheets, material submittals, and compliance lists.
Attendsite meetings, client inspections, and technical workshops as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree inElectrical, Electronics, Communication, or Computer Engineering.
Minimum3–6 years of experience inphysical security systems.
Proven expertise in:
CCTV Systems: IP/Analog, PTZ, VMS platforms (e.g., Axis, Bosch, Milestone, Genetec).
Access Control Systems (ACS): Controllers, readers, locks, Lenel, HID, or equivalent.
Intrusion Detection & Alarm Systems (IDAS): Motion sensors, glass break detectors, sirens.
Strong understanding ofnetworking fundamentals (switches, IP addressing, VLANs).
Familiar withAutoCAD,Excel-based BOQ preparation, andsystem documentation.
Preferred Skills:
Experience withLenelS2, Bosch, Honeywell, or Axis solutions.
Knowledge ofHCIS, Aramco, or SEC standards.
Certification in any major security platform (Lenel, Milestone, Genetec, Axis, etc.) is an advantage.
Ability to read and interpretelectrical and low-current drawings.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills inEnglish (Arabic is a plus).
