Mechanical Assembler

VMAC has multiple Mechanical Assembler openings to join our Packaged Products team, reporting to the Production Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in quality craftsmanship, and thrive in a manufacturing environment. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will play an important role in assembling VMAC products while contributing to our commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

As Mechanical Assembler you will:

• Follow current drawings when assembling products.
• Rebuild and repair products where required.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks.
• Improve efficiency and quality assembly processes.
• Follow Production Schedule and prioritize daily work, accordingly, communicating any bottlenecks or flow problems to Production Supervisor.
• Test and identify all assembled products where required.
• Liaise with the Parts Department to ensure adequate supply of parts.
• Report on spoilage, stock damage, shrinkage, and inventory inaccuracies.
• Monitor inventory levels and report on outages, low or overstock quantities.
• Ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing goods.
• Participate in periodic physical inventory counts.
• Participate in the development and implementation of department objectives.
• Liaise with other departments internally and externally to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Other duties as required.

• 1-3 Years of experience in relevant field.
• General mechanical knowledge considered an asset.

• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and possess good interpersonal skills.
