In thisExiting field we are looking for a SeniorDatabase SecuritySpecialist – Db2 for z/OS* who will join our mainframe infrastructure team to collaborate with product developers& clientsto understandCOBOL-Db2 security mapping& recommend security mapping forJava-Db2environmentsandenhance in-houseDb2testinfrastructure.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in Db2 for z/OSsecurityaspects pertaining to COBOL-Db2 applications & Java-Db2 applications includinglocal and remote data serving

• GoodworkingexperiencewithDb2RACFsecurityadministration andimplementation of“Trusted Context”.

• Expertisein applicationDb2database administration including design, planning&implementation of various aspects of database management (physical structure, logical design, SQLtuning& performance)

• Solid experience inDb2 system programming (Db2sysprog) includingDb2installation & versionupgrades, RSU maintenance, installation & configuration of Db2 related products andDb2 system database administration

• Experienced inworking with COBOL-Db2 and Java-Db2 mission critical applications in large customer environments under high security standards

• Open tocollaborate andsupportclients,product developers &testers and product service & support staff

• Ability to understand customer’sCOBOL-Db2 applicationenvironments andrecommendsystem & securityconfigurationsfor an equivalentJava-Db2applicationenvironment

• Ability to createDb2subsystems to simulatevariousDb2 securitysettings, typically present in large enterprises running COBOL-Db2 applications under high security standards

• Goodunderstandingof Db2 SMF records,experience withDb2 performance reportingand tuning without dependencyon tools

• Good knowledge inCOBOL-Db2 andREXX programming 

• Havingadditional knowledge of IMS Database AdministrationandCOBOL-IMS DBprogrammingwill be an advantage

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree fromareputable institution, but master’s degree is preferred

• 15+ years of experience in the above-mentioned topics
