About the Role

We are looking for aBehaviour Interventionist (BI) to join our multi-disciplinary team reporting to the Behaviour and Development Services Manager on a full time basis to work with children birth – 19 years of age. TheBehaviour Interventionist would use family-centered, culturally sensitive and trauma-informed approaches to provide consultation, assessment, intervention and monitoring. 

General Responsibilities:

• Use teaching methods to target specific program goals as directed by a Behavioural Consultant and implement teaching programs and other interventions as outlined on the student’s behavioural plan of intervention.
• Write accurate session notes and maintain files.
• Case management and report writing.
• Contribute to a strong team environment.
• Attending and participating in regularly scheduled team meetings.
• Collecting data, monitoring, recording and reviewing client progress with consultant and other team members.
• Develop, teach, and demonstrate the strategies of positive behaviour support.
• Run group sessions

Qualifications: 

• Registered Behaviour Technician training preferred. 
• High school diploma, two years post-secondary education in a related field preferred (psychology, education, social work, etc.) 

Additional Requirements: 

• Current Class 5 Driver’s License and personal vehicle for work use, preferred 
• Available Monday to Friday, and be able to work flexible hours as needed. 
• Experience working with children is preferred but not required 
• Successful completion of a criminal records check
