Assistant Project Manager

Summary
Therma is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our growing mechanical construction team. In this role, you will partner closely with a Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale commercial, industrial, and healthcare projects. This position plays a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities
•    Support the Project Manager in all aspects of project delivery  from budgeting and scheduling to procurement, construction, and closeout.
•    Assist with reviewing and maintaining project documentation, including contracts, drawings, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
•    Coordinate with internal departments, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and clients to ensure clear communication and collaboration across all project phases.
•    Track project costs, labor productivity, materials, and schedules; assist in forecasting and reporting.
•    Participate in project meetings, site visits, and inspections to ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
•    Support field teams in managing subcontractors and vendors to maintain quality control and meet project objectives.
•    Help identify and resolve potential risks or conflicts proactively to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
•    Minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting mechanical or MEP construction projects, ideally in commercial, industrial, or healthcare environments.
•    Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing), construction methods, and project coordination.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software; experience with Bluebeam, Procore, or AutoCAD preferred.
•    Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.
•    Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to local project sites as required.

Hourly Compensation: $35-$42.
