Supervising Psychiatrist (Part time)

The Supervising Psychiatrist is primarily responsiblefor providing clinical supervision and consultation to Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners regarding psychiatric care, medication management and intervention services to the patients of theHealthRIGHT 360 Clinics. The psychiatrist providessupervision and oversight for AdvancedPsychiatricPractice Providers including enteringinto Collaborative Agreements with the AdvancedPsychiatricPractice Providers, providingfull and clinicalsupervision and having input in the clinical review, performance appraisal, peer review and hiring and terminationofAdvanced Psychiatric Practice Providers. The Psychiatrist may also provide supervision to fellows, residents, and students asappropriate.ThePsychiatrist may also provide consultative support to providers as needed including training. Services may be provided in person or via telehealth.

May be required to work evenings and weekends.

This is part time position for 2-4 hours each week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Supervision Responsibilities:

• Providesfull andclinicalsupervisionand oversightforAdvanced Psychiatric Practice Providers including entering in to Collaborative Agreements with the Advanced Psychiatric Practice Providers
• Providing clinical supervision and having input in the clinical review, performance appraisal, peer review and hiring and termination of providers and clinical support staff
• Provides supervision for the medical assistant that functions which are under the purview of the provider including having input in the clinical review, performance appraisal, and hiring and termination 

And, other duties as assigned. 

EDUCATIONAND KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS AND ABILITIESQUALIFICATIONS: 

Education and Experience :  

• M.D. or D. O. degree from an accredited United States medical school.
• Successful completion of internship and residency inpsychiatry with experience managing patients with substance use disorder/addiction.  

RequiredCertification/Licensure:   

• BoardLicensed in Psychiatry
• Valid and active California medical license, without any limitations on license to practice in specialty
• Eligible toparticipate in the CMS Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement programs.

Desired:   

• Three to fiveyears experience as a licensed psychiatrist
