JOB SUMMARYÂ
HealthRIGHT 360, a family of programs, operates in 11 counties throughout California. Offering aÂ
comprehensive range of medical and behavioral health services, HealthRIGHT 360 serves marginalizedÂ
communities, including primary care, mental health support, detoxification, residential and outpatientÂ
substance use disorder treatment, and transitional services tailored to individuals involved in the criminalÂ
justice system.
The Reentry and Recovery Housing program (RRH) operated by North County Serenity House, a ProgramÂ
of HealthRIGHT 360, is a STOP (Specialized Treatment for Optimized Programming) funded program thatÂ
serves men who have recently been released from incarceration or have recently completed drug andÂ
alcohol addiction treatment. Our facility can house up to 26 individuals. While living at RRH, our clients
are given the opportunity to have a safe place to live and do the vital work that is needed of them to getÂ
their lives back on track, and to hit the ground running when it is time for them to function on their ownÂ
in society.
The Client Safety Navigator (CSN) fosters a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment. CSN works withÂ
program leadership, Sherriff’s or local law enforcement, and other teams to respond to emergency andÂ
crisis situations, including client drug use, overdose, programmatic interruptions, and other situations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Safety and Security:
• Ensure and maintain a safe and orderly environment for clients, staff, and visitors in complianceÂ
with agency and industry standards.
• Monitor security cameras, attend building security meetings, and work collaboratively withÂ
service providers and administrative staff.
• Clear areas of crowds, debris, and out-of-place items to maintain safety.
• Direct and deflect traffic, de-escalate tense situations, and maintain a positive, respectfulÂ
demeanor even during high-pressure situations.
• Work collaboratively with other service providers and administrative staff to maintain an orderlyÂ
environment.
• Remain alert and awake during the entire overnight shift, if applicable.
Client and Visitor Management:
• Maintain client and visitor logs.
• Welcome and assist clients returning from appointments, ensure sign-in, and check belongingsÂ
for contraband.
• Welcome visitors, check credentials, ensure sign-in, and escort them to the supervisor on duty.
Crisis Intervention and Medical Assistance:
• Carry Narcan, recognize signs of overdose, and administer Narcan as necessary to reverse drugÂ
overdose.
• De-escalate emotionally charged situations and maintain non-confrontational behavior duringÂ
observation and intervention.
Facility Monitoring and Compliance:
• Make regular rounds to monitor entrances, exits, offices, common areas, and building perimeters.
• Work with local law enforcement and file incident reports as needed.
• Maintain appropriate boundaries and adhere to the organization’s code of conduct.
• All documentation must be maintained in compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and otherÂ
funding requirements to satisfy internal and external evaluating requirements.
Administrative Duties and Professional Development:
• Attend and participate in meetings.
• Participate in and complete all assigned training.
And perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Certification, or Licensure
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• Possess a valid First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Experience
• Two years of job-related experience working with the criminal justice population or with theÂ
community behavioral health system preferred.
