We are currently seeking driven individuals to join our team as aWelder/Fabricator. This role plays an essential part in our production process, using power tools and welding expertise to help deliver the highest quality products.

Your Responsibilities:

• Base Assembly:Assemble and construct bases for HVAC units according to blueprints and fabrication packages
• Welding:Complete MIG welding as required for base fabrication and work towards obtaining your CWB welding certification to complete structural welds
• Troubleshooting:Identify and resolve issues that arise during base assembly, such as alignment problems, missing parts or measurement discrepancies
• Physical Labour:Engage in demanding physical tasks to support production activities
• Physical Activity: Stand, walk, crawl, lift and carry heavy items as required to support production
• Blueprint Reading: Accurately read and interpret blueprints to guide fabrication and assembly processes
• Measurement: Use measuring tools to perform mathematical calculations, including converting fractions to decimals, to ensure precision
• Tool Use: Operate air and electric hand tools efficiently to complete tasks effectively
• Independent Work: Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision to meet production goals
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively in a team environment with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, ensure proper use of PPE and maintain a clean and organized work environment

What We’re Looking For:

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of fabrication or construction experience (preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of welding experience (preferred)

Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and measurements
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable transportation required

Job Details:

Job Type: Full-time, Indoor

Location: Kingston, ON (On-Site)

Starting Wage: $21.80 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience  

Shift Schedule:

• Rotating early mornings and afternoon shifts
  • Monday – Friday: 5:45 am – 2:15 pm
  • Monday – Thursday: 2:30 pm – 12:30 am
• Every other Friday off
• Weekend shifts not required
• Occasional overtime available based on production requirements
