Manufacturing Assistant

Position Summary:

Machine Operator Assistant’s role is to help keep the department running efficiently by staging work for the machines and by caring for the machine fluids (lubricants and coolant).

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of wash area (i.e. mop floors, change solvents in tanks) and ensure all wash materials used have been replenished at the end of each shift.

• Maintain machine fluid inventories (lubricants and coolant)
• 1. Fill machines with oil
  2. Fill coolant wagons
  3. Perform machine coolant changes
• Material handling responsibilities.
• 1. Receive raw material
  2. Store raw material and control inventory
  3. Move and stage raw material to machining centers
• Retrieve gages from and return gages to Gage Control / Calibration
• Move WIP material
• Painting and floor cleaning as necessary
• Complete 5S action items as assigned.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

• Knowledge of safe work practices including working with solvents and overhead crane use.
• Good communication skills.

Preferred Education/Training/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
