About Our Opportunity:Â
Working as a key member of the operations team, the post holder will operate, supervise and maintain the plant and equipment whilst prioritising safety and efficiency. Â
This opportunity will be working a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off Days & Nights 06:45-19:00/18:45-07:00

What You Will Be Doing:Â
- Understand and adhere to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.Â
- Work to all relevant  safe working procedures (SWP’s) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);Â
- Maintain and wear statutory PPE issued and report defects to the site management team as required;Â
- Report all accidents and near misses in accordance with company guidelines.Â
- Monitoring the operational performance of plant and equipment and reporting defects and variations.Â
- Carry out basic planned and reactive maintenance.Â
- Conduct Patrol Audits as directed by the Shift Management.Â
- Assist with any general duties as required by the Shift Management.Â
- Complete training and development in order to multi-skill and enable growth and career progression.Â
- Adhere to standard operating procedures including safe working procedures (SWPs).Â
- Carry out daily and periodic checks including safety and qualityÂ
- Carry out activities to capture, record and action all machine defects.Â
- Assist the maintenance team with plant issue resolutionÂ
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are met and relevant PPE is wornÂ
- Ensure safe isolation of machinery before undertaking relevant workÂ
- Undertake corrective actions within scope of authorisationÂ
- Complete actions from daily fault sheetsÂ
- Work in accordance with risk assessments for bespoke maintenance tasks.Â
- Ensure plant and workspace hygiene standards are maintainedÂ
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities.Â
- Deliver a full and comprehensive operational handover between shifts Â
Â
About You:Â
- A strong appreciation and understanding of a safe working environment, hazard awareness and a compliant attitudeÂ
- Previous experience of basic mechanical and electrical maintenance.Â
- Manufacturing production or material processing experienceÂ
- Previous experience of having worked to standard operating procedures.Â
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised as well as in a team environmentÂ
- Strong attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills.Â
- NPORS or equivalent qualification in tele handler and forklift truck driving.Â
