General Labor/Machine Operator - 1st/2nd/3rd shift available, $19-$24

Starting Pay: $19.00/hour + Shift Differential

We are hiringMachine Operators across multiple production departments and shifts at our Pomfret, CT manufacturing facility. These positions support the production of wire and cable products by operating manufacturing equipment, monitoring product quality, and keeping production running safely and efficiently.

Manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train dependable candidates with a strong work ethic and interest in learning manufacturing.

Available Shifts

• 1st Shift: Starting at$19.00/hour | 7am-3:00/3:30 | Mon-Fri

• 2nd Shift: Starting at$21.50/hour ($19.00 base + $2.50 shift differential) |3:00pm - 11:00/11:30pm | Mon-Fri

• 3rd shift:Starting at$24.00/hour ($19.00 base + $5.00 shift differential) | 11:00pm-7:00am | *Sunday-Thursday*
  
  

What You'll Do

• Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust production machinery.

• Follow work orders, specifications, and established work instructions.

• Load, unload, and handle materials throughout the production process.

• Inspect finished and in-process products for quality.

• Use basic measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers as required.

• Monitor equipment and communicate mechanical or production issues to supervision or maintenance.

• Complete production records and enter required information into company systems.

• Perform basic machine and work-area cleaning and preventative maintenance activities.

• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.

• Work collaboratively with supervisors, maintenance, quality, and other production employees.

• Participate in required training and continuous improvement activities.

• Perform other production-related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Manufacturing or machine operation experience is a plus, but not required.

• Ability to read and follow work instructions and production specifications.

• Basic math and computer/data-entry skills.

• Ability to learn how to use measuring tools and production equipment.

• Dependable attendance and ability to work your scheduled shift.

• Strong attention to safety, quality, and productivity.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical & Work Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing position. Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; regularly bend, reach, twist, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements; and frequently lift and move materials weighing approximately20–50 lbs., with heavier lifting required for some assignments.

Employees work around manufacturing machinery in an environment where temperatures and noise levels may vary. Required personal protective equipment must be worn at all times as applicable.
