Custodian

Who we are looking for:

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and overall appearance of company buildings and surrounding work areas. This position performs routine custodial duties, minor facility upkeep, and cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and professional environment for employees, customers, and visitors. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and takes pride in maintaining a clean facility.

What you will do:

• Perform daily custodial cleaning of offices, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, entryways, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and vacuum floors throughout facilities
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, sinks, toilets, mirrors, and fixtures
• Empty trash receptacles and recycling containers throughout the property
• Restock paper products, soap, and sanitation supplies
• Dust furniture, vents, ledges, equipment, and other surfaces
• Clean interior and exterior windows, doors, and glass surfaces
• Maintain cleanliness of stairwells, storage rooms, and warehouse/work areas
• Operate custodial equipment including floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and pressure shers
• Perform routine deep-cleaning projects as assigned
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or company activities
• Monitor facility cleanliness and report maintenance, repair, or safety concerns
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and custodial supplies
• Maintain cleaning equipment and notify management when repairs or replacements are needed
• Help maintain exterior cleanliness including sidewalks, entrances, and outdoor trash removal
• Follow all OSHA, company safety, and sanitation procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you will need:

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous custodial, janitorial, or facility cleaning experience preferred
• Knowledge of custodial cleaning methods and equipment preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to follow safety procedures and cleaning instructions
