We have a great opportunity for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Identified Aged Care Customer Service Officerto join our Aged Care Assessment Services (âACASâ) team in Sydney. Aged Care Assessment Services (ACAS) operate independently of Catholic Healthcare and play a pivotal role in ensuring that Older Australians are assessed for the care and services they truly need.
What will your role look like?Â
Our Customer Service Officer will provide strong and efficient administration support and customer service to our ACAS clients, particularly those who identify asAboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
Day to day this includes:Â Â
- Deliver exceptional customer service over the phone to clients and representatives Â
- Conduct all client interactions in a professional, knowledgeable, and supportive mannerÂ
- Respond promptly to emails from all stakeholdersÂ
- Provide strong administrative support to ACAS staff to ensure operational effectiveness Â
- Assist clients with inquiries related to My Aged Care and assessment outcomesÂ
- Mail My Aged Care support plans and Delegate decision outcome notices to clientsÂ
- Conduct monthly client surveys to gather feedback and improve servicesÂ
- Maintaining currency of knowledge relating to aged care services both funded and non-fundedÂ
- Assisting with continuous improvement frameworks to regularly evaluative administrative processesâŻÂ

To be successful in this role youâll need: Â
- A genuine passion for providing high quality care to Older Australians
- Commitment to excellence in customer service, both to internal and external stakeholdersâŻÂ
- Experience with My Aged Care portal and the aged care and/or community service sector (or transferable skills)
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and listeningâŻÂ
- Excellent planning, organising and problem-solving skillsâŻ
- Willingness to apply for a Police Check
