Primary Purpose& Valueof theDepartment &Position 

 

TheFinance & Accounting department ensures thecompany’sleadership team is provided with timely, high quality and accurate financial information and advice regarding actual, forecasted and budgeted results. This information is critical to support business decisions via identification and analysis of key business drivers and evaluation of cost/benefit analysis and business improvement options. 

 

TheFinancial AnalystIisthe central player in the reporting and analysisoffinancial results and working with the financial leadership team. In addition, the Financial Analyst I assiststo translate business objectives into strategies, actions and targets applicable to the management and finance team that deliver short-term objectives (month to month) but also provide a realistic foundation to achieving longer-term objectives (a year or more ahead). This is a Full Time, Hybrid Role.

 

PrimaryDuties &Responsibilities * 

  • Ensure the leadership team is provided with timely, high quality and accurate financial information and advice regarding actual, forecast, and budgeted results. This information is critical to support business decisions via identification and analysis of key business drivers and evaluation of cost/benefit analysis and business improvement options.
  • Preparefinancial evaluations, prepare and manage budgets,preparebusiness plans, report on performance to plan, communicate and educateabout key business results, stewardship of assets and risk management activities,and submitnon-plantcapital expenditures 
  • Manages product costing and inventory valuation for multiple plant sites
  • Provide impromptu financial analysis and detail inavery quick turn-aroundenvironment under intense pressure with multiple priorities

  • Deliver continuous improvement in the quality of the management and financial reporting systems and output, identifying opportunities to extract additional value and reduce business complexity. 
  • Supportvia the preparation of material for presentation and discussion withcompany’sleadership team –monthlybusinessreview process 
  • Improve stewardship of the regional business assets by ensuring adequate controls and adherence to policies and standards 
  • Ensure adherence to the regional Delegation of Authority

Education& Experience Qualifications 

 

Minimum: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related area 

  • 3 years of experience in an accounting role with emphasis in financial analysis role 

  • Accountingdegree 

  • 1 year working with an ERP system 

 

Preferred: 

  • MBA degree 

  • 3+ years of experience in a cost accounting role 

  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant role 

  • Certified Public Accountant certification 

  • Construction and Manufacturing operations experience 

  • Experience with SAP
