Backend Engineer

About the Role

You will own core backend infrastructure at a small, high-caliber founding team building AI-native operations infrastructure for private markets. The systems you build power fund accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and treasury automation, with a deep focus on permissions, auditability, traceability, and observability across both hosted and self-hosted deployments.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain backend infrastructure covering permissions, auditability, traceability, and observability.

• Own deployment architectures for hosted and self-hosted environments using infrastructure-as-code tooling.

• Improve system reliability, performance, and security in production environments.

• Partner closely with product to ship features while upholding quality standards.

• Drive AI-native development practices to enable rapid, high-quality releases.

What We're Looking For

• 1 to 6 years of professional backend development experience.

• Production experience building backend services withTypeScript andNestJS.

• Production experience withPostgreSQL andPrisma.

• Hands-on experience managing deployments with infrastructure-as-code tools such asTerraform orPulumi.

• A track record of improving production reliability, security, performance, observability, or auditability.

• Practical experience with AI, ML, LLMs, or building AI-native systems.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range:70,000 to 110,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

On-site inBerlin, Germany. This role requires in-person attendance and is not available on a remote basis.
