Tax Manager

Our client, a leading CSP in Malta, is looking for aTax Manager to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a tax professional to lead planning of strategies, advise on complex transactions, and support junior team members.

This is ahybrid role offering a salary of up to €45K.

Please note that only candidates already based in Malta can be considered.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead tax-planning and implementation strategies to optimise clients' tax liability

• Advise on tax considerations for corporate restructuring, financing, M&As, and cross-border investments

• Assist local and international clients with tax advisory engagements

• Support tax compliance, including preparation of corporate tax returns and refund applications

• Assist with tax audits and liaise with tax authorities

• Deliver technical training and provide support to the accounting and audit teams

• Keep up to date with local and international direct tax developments

• Identify opportunities for the team's growth and propose improvements to systems and processes as needed

• Assist junior team members as their main point of contact and review their work

Education, Skills & Experience

• ACCA qualified or equivalent

• 2+ years of post-qualification experience within a CSP

• Excellent understanding of accounting standards and Maltese tax legislation

• Fluency in Maltese at a native level – both written and spoken – non-negotiable

• Fluency in English both written and spoken

• Fluency in another language is a plus

• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Proactive, able to work independently and within a team

• Strong client relationship skills with a passion for delivering exceptional service

About the Role

• Salary of up to €45K depending on experience

• Hybrid working model – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home (after probation)
