Essential Job Statements

Lead the design,development and maintenance of BI and analytics solutions that transform data into insights through interactive reports,dashboards and self-service reporting capabilities. 

Performs complex analysis including reviewing multiple data sets and data relationships to support research and business decisions.   

Works in concert with other data practitioners and business teams to understand business requirements andtranslating those requirements into developing value-add BI/Analytics solutions.  

Developsandenforce implementation of standards and best practices involved in BI solutions development and delivery.  

Leads data related projects involving cross functional teams. 

Supportsthe data through its life cycle utilizingDataOps practices and data governance principles that ensure data quality, integrity, stewardship, security,literacy and adoption.  

Works with Data Engineering/Architecture teamsbyidentifying opportunities to expand data sets and business intelligence tools to includeadditional data. Assists withdatalineage andcoding to support this function. 

Provides Technical Support and training to end users on BI tools and reports. 

Mentors junior DataBusiness Intelligence Developers. 

Conducts research and makes recommendations on products, tools, services,protocols and standards in support ofBusiness Intelligence Development and data strategy.

 Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, Math, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related discipline 

Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Business, IT, Math, Data Analytics,Engineering or related discipline

Minimum Qualifications 

 Years and Typeof Required Experience:8+years business intelligence, analytical, reporting experience. 7+ years of experience with Data Lake, EDW and operational databasesrequired. 5+years SQL experience. 

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Expert level knowledge of business intelligence tools and methodologies (Tableau,Qlikview,PowerBI, etc.). Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to develop andto optimize BI solutions. Strong SQL skills. Understanding data warehousing concepts and practices for managing large datasets. Experience working with Cloud technologies such as AWS/Azure/GCP. Experience with programming languages like Python or R.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally (Requiredproficiency).Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical personas and make complex ideas understood. Organizationally savvy, with a good understanding of the enterprise's political climate and how to navigate,influence and persuade political waters. Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations. Ability tocomprehend quickly the functions and capabilities ofnew technologies. 

 Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Exp ert  knowledge of data governance practices and data life cycle management preferred.  Experience working withHealthcare data. Experienceutilizing Agilemethodology. Displays intellectual curiosity and integrity.
