Scope of Position
This strategic and technically skilled professional, as part of the Nexa team, is responsible for driving channel growth, partner enablement, solution design, and technical sales support for Nexa products and services. The Solutions Engineering Manager serves as a technical and commercial leader who helps customers and channel partners successfully identify, scope, position, deploy, and support Nexa solutions.
The role combines solutions engineering expertise with channel development responsibilities, leveraging deep product and application knowledge to recruit, develop, and enable high-value partners while supporting revenue growth and customer success. This individual serves as a critical bridge between channel partners, Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Customer Experience, and Operations to ensure customer requirements are translated into scalable technical solutions and long-term business opportunities.
- This position is not responsible for supervision of others.
- This position reports to the Director of Customer Experience & Revenue Operations.
- This role is remote, based in the US and requires approximately 50% travel.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Nexa's channel growth strategy across targeted partner groups including manufacturers' representatives, engineering firms, contractors, service providers, and other strategic channel partners.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop high-potential partners that expand market coverage and support business growth.
- Drive partner-generated pipeline growth and revenue performance across assigned markets and channels.
- Enable channel partners through training, technical education, commercialization tools, sales playbooks, and solution-selling resources.
- Establish and monitor partner performance expectations, readiness requirements, and channel effectiveness metrics.
- Partner with Sales teams and channel partners to understand customer requirements, operational needs, business objectives, and application requirements.
- Review technical requirements through site visits, drawings, specifications, schematics, system architecture reviews, virtual assessments, and project documentation.
- Design, scope, and recommend Nexa solutions that meet customer requirements while identifying technical risks, implementation considerations, and commercial opportunities.
- Support development of solution configurations, technical recommendations, commercial proposals, and customer quotations.
- Provide technical expertise and consultative support during customer presentations, partner engagements, and sales discussions.
- Support Customer Experience and Project Management teams with escalated technical issues requiring advanced product, system, and application knowledge.
- Analyze operational and system data including connectivity, device health, pressure, temperature, flow, leak events, and related metrics to diagnose issues and identify optimization opportunities.
- Translate technical findings into customer-friendly recommendations, corrective actions, and business value propositions.
- Identify opportunities to improve solution performance, customer outcomes, and product utilization.
- Document field learnings, customer feedback, technical solutions, and best practices to support organizational knowledge sharing.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, partner training materials, solution guides, deployment standards, and support resources.
- Deliver technical training programs to channel partners, customers, and internal teams to improve product knowledge and deployment capabilities.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience teams to communicate market feedback, technical requirements, and customer needs.
- Provide recommendations regarding product enhancements, application improvements, customer requirements, and future solution development opportunities.
- Support product launches, commercialization efforts, and channel enablement initiatives.
- Represent Nexa and Watts at customer meetings, industry conferences, trade shows, training events, and partner engagements.
- Foster strong working relationships across Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Experience functions.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance channel performance, solution quality, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
- Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by management.

- Travel up to 50% to support business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Technology, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in solutions engineering, technical sales, channel sales, partner development, business development, applications engineering, or related customer-facing technical roles.
- Experience supporting technically complex products, software, SaaS solutions, IoT platforms, connected devices, building technologies, or infrastructure-based solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to design customer solutions, develop technical recommendations, and support complex sales opportunities.
- Strong commercial orientation with experience supporting revenue growth, pipeline development, and channel expansion initiatives.
- Ability to develop deep technical expertise in Nexa solutions and the broader Watts product portfolio.
- Experience interpreting operational, system, or customer data to identify issues, trends, and solution opportunities.
- Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, service providers, channel partners, business leaders, and executive stakeholders.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
- Ability to travel approximately 50%.Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within water technologies, building systems, IoT, connected products, facility management, mechanical systems, industrial automation, or related industries.
- Experience building and scaling indirect sales channels or partner ecosystems.
- Experience supporting digital products, software platforms, or connected device solutions.
- Experience delivering partner certification programs, technical training, and enablement initiatives.
- Familiarity with customer success, project implementation, technical support, or field applications engineering functions.
- Experience working with manufacturers' representatives, MEP firms, contractors, distributors, or service providers.

Working Conditions
While performing the job duties, you will be working remotely in an office environment. You may be required to occasionally travel to and work in the office at any Watts Water location for meetings, trainings, or as otherwise required by Company management.

Pay Range
The expected base salary range for this position is $127,000 – 140,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
