We are currently looking for anMSL Lead (CVRM) to join ourMedical Affairs team in Poland. This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in strengthening AstraZeneca’s position in thecardiovascular, renal and metabolic (CVRM) therapy area, while shaping impactful medical initiatives and supporting the development of a high-performing field medical team. This role reports directly to theCVRM Therapy Area Lead.

What you will do

AsMSL Lead, you will work closely with theTherapy Area Lead,Medical Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to shape and deliver the medical strategy for the CVRM therapy area. You will lead theMSL team, support high-quality scientific exchange with healthcare professionals and key external experts, and help drive initiatives that improve patient care and outcomes across the healthcare system.

You will also play an important role in coaching and developing team members, building strong strategic and functional capabilities, and ensuring the team delivers on key priorities with excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Co-create and implement the medical strategy in partnership with theMedical TA Lead, relevantMedical Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Identify unmet medical needs and evidence gaps, and help design medical solutions that support better patient care and treatment outcomes

  • Lead the MSL team in scientific engagement with healthcare professionals and key external experts across both marketed products and molecules in clinical development

  • Support transforming care initiatives by engaging relevant healthcare stakeholders in projects that improve therapeutic outcomes

  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of key team objectives

  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to strengthen both strategic thinking and functional excellence

  • Drive capability development planning in collaboration with theTherapy Area Lead

Minimum requirements

  • Master’s degree inlife sciences or a related field

  • At least2 years of experience inMedical Affairs

  • Experience inproduct launches or in the development and execution ofmedical strategy

  • Experience working incross-functional teams

  • Ability to leadscientific discussions and communicate scientific content effectively to different audiences

  • Very good command ofEnglish andPolish

  • Strong understanding of thepharmaceutical industry and thehealthcare system

  • Validdriving license

Preferred qualifications

  • Background inbiology, pharmacy, medicine, or a related discipline

  • Advanced scientific degree inlife sciences or a related field

  • Experience as aMedical Manager, Medical Advisor, MSL, or in a similarMedical Affairs role

  • Experience managing afield Medical team

  • Approximately5 years of experience inMedical Affairs

  • Strongleadership andpeople management skills
