Coater Lead

 Job Summary:

Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Coating department 

1st Shift

Key Responsibilities:  

• Verify presence of all associates on the line; adjust for absences 

• Ensure associates work in a safe manner; report unsafe acts to supervisor 

• Ensure cleanliness of coating line is maintained 

• Verify schedule according to product and coating type (list received from Planning dept.) 

• Ensure turf is produced at a first quality standard 

• Ensure coating line is running at specification speed 

• Operate perforator asrequired 

• Contact maintenance for machine problems or breakdowns 

• Ensure autonomous maintenance is completed as specified 

• Ensure startup and shutdown checklists are completed as needed 

• Ensure inventory of consumables aremaintained; report low levels to supervisor 

• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

• Ability to provide instruction and direction to employees 

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure 

• Ability to solve practical problems in situations with low supervision 

• Ability to read and understand documents such as SOPs and Safety Data Sheets 

• Ability to communicate effectively withemployees & supervisor 

• Basic computer skills including e-mail, internet use, and spreadsheets
